So, today I'm wearing a skirt. And if the looks on my family's faces are any indication, I apparently am looking pretty hot. Or like I'm going to a funeral. Whichever.
So it's Top Three Thursday, put on the by the amazing Confessions From a Working Mom and The (Un)Experienced Mom and today's question is:
What are your top 3 favorite things about being a parent?
Where to begin?
3. I have to mention times like this. I know, I know, I'm putting a link to a whole nuther post in, but it's worth it. I promise. It's a conversation about a bra started by this little girl:
2. Watching them in the world. They already have such magnetic personalities. Even horses love them.
1. I love watching them play. They, like most sisters, are the best of friends and worst of enemies. But when they feel like having fun...
...our hearts swell up.
So, fair reader, if you have children, what are your favorite things about being a parent?

These are great pictures. I want to live on a farm. Minus poop. I said poop in your comments.
I agree that animals are drawn to children. Our dog, our new puppy and the cat sleep in my daughter's bed every night. They LOVE her to bits!
!
hmm. what are three things i like about being a parent?
1. the poop. ok. i don't like "the poop," i like that my kids make me want to do anything for them.
2. talking. a lot of times they won't be quiet but i like hearing what's going on in their heads. even tripp. it's a wonder he doesn't have a headache with all the high pitched shrieking going on in his head.
3. hugs and kisses. they love me unconditionally even when i lose it. i love that they love me. no lie.
Your Top Three are nice and I LOVE the comment about you wearing a skirt ... and Yippee I'm your latest follower- hope you stop by and return the favor :-)
Your link = one of my very favorite stories of your kids! :-) And the last picture is incredible, always love it!
What I love about being a mommy to my child:
When he gives me kisses.
The way he listens to me when I give him a command.
The way he greets me when I get home. Jumping up and his tail wagging.
My favorite thing about being a parent is doing stuff with my kids. My daughter comes to get me and we go out to breakfast. Or she comes to my house and we sew and quilt and watch silly sci-fi movies. My son brings his lovely wife camping with us and we all end up fishing, sitting around the campfire, laughing and staying up much too late.
My children are my legacy. I know I've done well, my children are great people!
1~snuggling before bed
2~traveling with them. i love watching their faces as we explore new places. that kind of rhymes....
3~i get to slap someone around whenever i feel like it. (just kidding)
the for realz 3~i love watching them be a blessing to others. i feel so proud of them when they do the right thing knowing when it is coming from their hearts. (sap)
I love the pictures you included-- I thought I liked the first one the best (it's so artsy!), but then I saw the one with the horses and it made me smile even more. But the one with your two girls together-- it gives me baby fever!

Confessions From A Working Mom
i like that i can drive the deepest guilt into them so that at the young age of four, my daughter is saying... "i'm going to live with you forever mommy and take care of you."
i'm the best mom ever.
Those are a GREAT 3 things. Love it.
snuggling (they are besides me in bed as I type this)
hugs and kisses
seeing parts of me in them
Aw, they're dolls. I love how a conversation about bras turns into a poo poo head attack.
My three children are grown, but I always loved how when they were small, they would stop whatever they were doing when I came home from work and would come running to me. The hugs and kisses, and of course the endless playing of games.
Sweet pictures of your sweet kids!
I love my girls as adults, too. They have such different personalities but very sweet, too. I love seeing them as mothers, too. My oldest daughter has blessed us with two grandkids (Nathan 7 and Miranda 2/1/2) and now my youngest daughter will be giving us a new grandson in the end of April. I love that they give grandchildren and are such awesome moms themselves.
Sweet post. I agree with your #3, I love it that my boys, who fought with each other like crazy when they were little, have grown to be young men who love and respect each other, completely. Something I couldn't have predicted when they were 3 & 4 and constantly scabbing each other's faces with their little fingernails as they'd fight over who got to turn on the light switch first ;)
I'm just starting to be able to see my boys play together. It's magical and frustrating at the same time, isn't it?
Thanks for playing our meme!
